Take advantage of our innovative space-saving solutions such as woven ribbon cables which are lightweight, flexible, and manufactured in a flat, compact format. The ability to weave wire as small as .1mm in diameter allows us to build 100 wires into an assembly measuring just 25.4mm by .6mm with increased tensile strength.
Our proprietary elastomer encapsulation solution, Teksol, protects critical cable assemblies in harsh environments. Designed to be lightweight, resistant to oils and fuels, and highly flexible, it guarantees high performance and durability of vital cable harnesses operating in extreme temperatures.
Our ruggedised overmoulding can be used on any cable and connector, offering a repeatable low-cost solution to prevent moisture ingress and protect against heavy-duty use in harsh environments.
If space is at a premium, Computaweave provides all the benefits of a flat woven cable and allows for neat and repeatable branch-outs. Suitable for numerous applications, design parameters can include a range of power, signal, thermocouple, and coax cables, alongside EMI/RFI shielding.
Actuation Project: Our overmoulding solution was recently utilised to prevent an interference issue between a set of assemblies. Our engineers produced a fixed, moulded section of cable to be positioned over the actuation system to eliminate contact with other components.
Aeroplane Wing Project: Our Computaweave technology is currently being used to manufacture cable assemblies for a new fuel and production-efficient wing. The innovative method enables branch-outs and also protects cables whilst the wing is folded.
Achieving Net Zero: Alpha 3 is supporting the development of a hybrid power system for flight by designing and manufacturing critical assemblies for the power systems.
