Alpha 3 Employees Don Pink Outfits and Race for Charity

Employees of Alpha 3 Manufacturing Ltd dusted off their running shoes to take part in a 5K race to raise money for charity.

Race For Life, which took place at Normanby Hall, Scunthorpe, aimed to raise money for Cancer Research, which funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. Nicola Kissaglis, Lynsay Mckendrick, Ester Ford and Tracey Gunthorpe raised around £900 for the cause.

Nicola Kissaglis, Alpha 3 employee and participant, commented; “The race presented a great atmosphere, hundreds of local residents came together to raise money for valuable research whilst enjoying some fun along the way with family, friends and colleagues. It is great to know we have made a contribution which may help the charity find better treatments and cures for cancer.”

The event began with a one-minute silence in memory of those lost to cancer before the team set off on a route comprising pleasant open fields, parkland and woodland. As a first for the event to be held in Scunthorpe, the overall turnout was vast and the team have already signed up for next years’ race.
